OLGA VOLKUS, CONTEMPORARY ARTIST
BACKGROUND
Born in Russia, raised in the USA, and currently residing in the charming city of Prague, Czech Republic, Olga Volkus is a dynamic contemporary multimedia artist. Her artistic journey is a vibrant tapestry woven from the diverse cultures she has embraced. Initially stepping into the creative realm as a graphic designer, she has passionately ventured into the exciting worlds of digital and mixed media art. With a wealth of experience from organizing, curating, and participating in numerous art shows, fairs, and events, Olga has refined her craft through education and practice.
Olga put her art journey on pause while raising her daughter. And only after few years into the motherhood she pursued her passion for art. Growing as an artist and defying her unique visual language, Olga draws her inspiration from children's drawings, organic life, nature, abstractionism, modernism and geometry. Her works are a quest for the balance between complexity and simplicity, minimalism and maximalism, form and matter.
